about the watch
Sold in 2010, this Rolex Daytona reference 116520 features a distinctive white dial. Renowned for its distinctive dial and iconic case, the Rolex Daytona is truly exceptional. Initially introduced by Rolex in 2000 as the ref. 116520, it marked a significant leap from its predecessor, the 16520, by housing Rolex's pioneering fully in-house chronograph movement. With its 40mm steel case, screw-down pushers, crown, and bezel, this watch demands attention. Its dial showcases a captivating blend of metals, incorporating black and white elements to create a unique visual allure. Characterized by a well-balanced layout, the absence of a date display enhances its aesthetic charm. Adorned with a small red "Daytona" script, applied hour markers, and a Rolex crown at 12 o'clock, this timepiece exudes sophistication. Equipped with luminous hands for easy readability, it seamlessly combines style with functionality. The ref. 116520 introduced the highly acclaimed Rolex caliber 4130, supplanting its predecessor, the caliber 4030. Revered for its precision and boasting a 72-hour power reserve, this movement sets a standard in horology that endures.
The watch is like new, so both the bracelet and case are in immaculate condition.
The watch is sold with its original full set, which obviously includes the box and warranty card.
The movement is a caliber 4130, which runs perfectly well.
