about the watch
The Rolex Milgauss, introduced in 1956 for scientists and engineers, derives its name from "mille" and "gauss," translating to 1,000 Gauss, a unit of magnetic measurement. Early iterations included the Reference 6541 and 1019, the latter discontinued in 1988 due to lack of popularity.
Employing a Faraday cage made of ferromagnetic alloys, the Milgauss shields its movement from magnetic interference. Tested at The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), its efficacy is well-established.
Reintroduced in 2007, the Milgauss initially sparked mixed reactions but has since gained favor among collectors. This specific piece is the blue dial iteration, which is probably the most popular of the contemporary Milgauss’ versions. It sports the characteristic orange lightning hand, as well as the orange minute track that both perfectly complement the blue dial. It is paired with a green-tinted sapphire crystal, also known as the “Glace Verde”, which enhances the watch.
The piece was initially sold in 2021, and is in mint condition. The case, bracelet and dial are all immaculate. It is sold with its full set.
The watch is in mint condition, so both the bracelet and case are immaculate.
The bracelet is the original Oyster bracelet.
The watch is sold with its full original set, obviously including the box and warranty card.
The movement is a caliber 3131, which runs perfectly well
