The Tank watch collection was originally designed by Louis Cartier in 1917. As a tribute to the latter, the Tank Louis Cartier product line takes up the aesthetics of Tank watches, but are today only made in yellow or rose gold. The watch design is inspired by the shape of a tank as seen from above - clean and rectangular, with two stretchers that create a tread-like frame around the dial. The Tank was a revolutionary watch in its day, challenging the sexist stereotypes that had previously dominated the watch industry. Worn by some of the most influential and famous people, such as Muhammed Ali or Princess Diana, the Cartier Tank has always been a versatile unisex watch. This special piece features a beautiful silver dial and a shiny black bracelet. As well as being the perfect everyday watch, it adds a touch of originality and elevates the Tank image, thanks in part to its 18-carat yellow gold case. The blued hands and sapphire crown cabochon sublimate the yellow gold, all perfectly highlighted on the black bracelet. Considered as the "large" version, it's neither too big for a woman nor too small for a man, perfectly meeting the challenge of being a luxurious unisex Tank. The piece comes from its first owner and has only been worn a few times, with great care. It therefore has a few scratches, but these are barely visible to the naked eye.
